Fudgy Brownies

I found this recipe on a recipe blog called Kara's Kitchen Creations. If you have never checked out her blog you should! She has some great recipes. These brownies are very rich and delicious. I love how this recipe produces a crackly top like the box mix brownies. These are fast and easy to make. I added a little more then 1 cup of Reese's peanut butter chips to this batch. Next time I want to try them with chopped nuts. Thanks for sharing the great recipe Kara!

1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp water
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup flour
1/4 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Bring sugar, butter, oil, and water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add semi-sweet chips and stir till melted. Cool slightly. Add eggs and vanilla and stir till smooth. Stir in dry ingredients and nuts. Pour into a greased 8" pan. Bake at 325 for about 25 minutes.

*Make sure the chocolate mixture is cooled before you add the eggs or you will have chocolate covered scrambled eggs.

I'm so glad that you liked them as much as we do. Seeing the photo makes me crave them again. Yum!
